Paul and Prince Wooldridge - brothers

This is a photo of Paul as a baby and his older brother Prince Wooldridge. They are the children of Dr. Walter Briscoe Wooldridge and Alice Babb Wooldridge.  Here is the link for them in the 1920 US Census at  familysearch.org

Here is a screen shot of them on the Census - click on it to see it larger.
It even shows that their father was a doctor of medicine.

Homer Milton Virgil Patterson - Funeral Announcement and Memorial Record

This is the funeral announcement and Memorial Record for my Great Grandfather Homer Milton Virgil Patterson. It says his father is Nathan Patterson - it'd be great if we could find out for sure.  I found Linville H. Harty in the census records but not Delpretty (her married name is Poe).

It reads:
He was born on August 25, 1876 in Sparta, White, Tennessee to Franklin P. Barnett and Emily Catherine Randolph.

He married Ida Jane Vaughn before 1917. Together they had five children.  Ben Vaughn Barnett on January 30, 1917; Floyd (Bela) Barnett on February 22, 1919; Emily Catherine Barnett on June 16, 1921; Donald Paul Barnett on June 13, 1923; and Ruth Jean Barnett on April 14, 1926.

They raised their children on a hard rock gold mine in the Rand mining district.  After the mine closed they moved to Bakersfield where Floyd opened a real estate business, raised fruit and greyhounds. They were so poor that when the depression hit, they didn't even notice a difference.

He passed away on December 3, 1962 in San Bernardino, San Bernardino County, California and was buried in Bakersfield, Kern County, California at the age of 86.

The Barnett Family

I hear that this is the Barnett family - apparently the flat nose gives it away. I'd like to get a list of everyone in this photo someday.  Hopefully soon!
